Sustainability
We aim to make the world sustainable. We believe that true sustainability means that all our actions are in accordance with all the laws of nature.
We apply this concept to our company as a whole. For example, physics tells us that nature is constantly emerging and evolving. Thus, everyone at Pangia should have the chance to develop towards their natural human potential. We believe in self-evolution through exploring strengths and weaknesses, letting go of our egos, and gaining appreciation for cosmic / interconnected consciousness. Along this journey we will make many mistakes, they shouldn't be avoided, but great learning should come from them. It's all part of Pangia, here and now. We want to have presence in everything we do and our reality is not defined by black and white - everything happens in probabilities, is connected and moves over time. We are not defined by what role we play or how we appear on the surface or what labels are attached to us, we simply are present and explore our true emergent nature together. We do not live in a separate world and do not think of ourselves as a separate island. We live in connection and want to be fully aware our out social, communal, environmental, human, etc. responsibilities. Whenever conflict arises we deal with it with awareness, recognition, acceptance, root cause exploration, detachment, and compassion.
Leadership and Creativity
You are your own leader and should be the CEO of something in Pangia.
We have a CEO, but we want to keep everything as fluid as possible. We believe that leadership is born through freedom to explore, freedom to create, and freedom to manage. Each person is accountable for his / her own destiny. Of course, it should ultimately be aligned with the company's and founders' vision. If you have an idea, go ahead, be the champion of it. We ask you to be accountable and to commit by following through (you and others have agency for making a big change, Pangia is what you make of it). We want to operate a meritocracy in which the best ideas come to the surface regardless of someone's title. A great idea is just an idea if nothing concrete is presented along with it. Thus, vigorous debate and brainstorming are highly encouraged. So, be free to explore, point out problems, critique and get to the best answers together, resolve, make mistakes, learn, create.
Family
We are not just a team of talented people, but we are also part of a big family. We believe in complete openness and honesty, and resolve our differences by finding truth in any situation. Almost anything can be discussed openly and nobody has anything to hide or any ill intentions (those things would be incompatible with the type of person we want to see here). After all, we are all here for a bigger purpose so let's have fun and be excellent in everything that we accomplish for Pangia and see it flourish. Just like in a real family our fates are intertwined, this of course means oftentimes making tough choices for the benefit of the family as a whole.
Free Flowing
We do not believe in the traditional way of going to the office from 9 to 5, Monday through Friday. We want to live life to the fullest in accordance with how nature truly works. We believe in giving the option to work from anywhere you want, if it is possible. Nothing is more excruciating than being chained to your desk everyday when you can be more productive if you work, say, from a beach in Waikiki, Hawaii. Just make sure you bring everybody Mai Tais when you come back!
Balance, Gratitude, and Reward
Even though we have a very relaxed company culture, it comes with a disclaimer: play hard and work hard. We expect a strong sense of balance/harmony. Nothing comes too easy and we know that. Therefore, nothing is taken for granted and all we expect is that your presence, gratitude, passion and your ability to give back are in alignment. In that sense, we also encourage volunteer work, public service, and other acts of giving/ benevolence/ philanthropy. As previously mentioned, we believe that we are all interconnected and that an act of benevolence towards someone else is an act of benevolence towards yourself. We should also mention that our company goal is never money in itself. Rather money is the consequence of our excellent actions and achievements. It is important as we all need to be nourished well and we believe that everyone should get more than their fair share in our success, but money is never the goal in itself.
